UK’s Electric Super Sports Car

While searching on the internet this weekend, I came upon an absolutely incredible electric powered sports car called the Lightning GT. Some of the readers on here may remember that a few weeks back I posted an article on the Tesla Roadster. In case you didn’t read my post or have never heard about this car in the news, the Roadster is a relatively new and exciting electric powered sports car being sold in the United States. I was and still am amazed at what the Tesla Roadster has to offer. With all this said, let’s take a look at what the Lightning GT brings to the table.

The Lightning GT which formally debuted last month, is produced by the British car company Lightning. The companies website describes the performance of the car to be: 0-60 miles-per-hour in 4 seconds, a mind boggling 700 bhp, and up to 250 miles on a single charge (at a charge time of a minuscule ten minutes).

At a price tag of around $300,000 dollars, the Lightning GT is nearly three times as much as the cost of the Roadster. Clearly the Lightning GT is a sports car for the elite or upper class that can afford life’s luxury toys. For a more thorough overview, please check out the Lightning website.
