Tip For Finding The Cheapest Gas In Your Area
Today, I thought it was of significant importance to share share a website called GasBuddy.com. In case you never heard of this site before, Gas Buddy is an online resource that lists the current price of gas in your local area. Also, there is a gas “temperature” map that uses colors to illustrate the differences in average gas prices across all the counties in the continental United States.
In addition to these things, there is a section of the site dedicated to historical gas prices. This sort of stuff interests me as I’m the type of person that likes analyzing numbers. Just going back six years, the United States average price of gas was still only $1.30 per gallon. Now those were the good ‘ole days. You can even see the spike where gasoline hit $3.00 per gallon for the first time, presumably right around the time when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans.
Now that I nearly bored you with my chart analyzing, I’ll get back on track. This is definitely one site that everybody should be using to help save on gas. It’s not always worthwhile to drive ten-miles for the cheapest gas, but it is good to know ahead of time in case you are in an area that has a lower price of gas so you can fill up. One last thing to our good friends in Canada, your also in luck as Gas Buddy has you covered. You can look for the lowest prices in your provinces.
Please go and check out GasBuddy.com today. I’m positive you will find it useful and worth your time.
