Fall Statistics for TheEnergyState.com

For the past two days, we have been getting hit hard with snow up here in the Northeastern part of the United States. I had to work from Friday night into mid-day Saturday plowing and snow blowing parking lots, driveways and walks. Once I got home yesterday, I ate a meal then slept the rest of the day. In a few more hours I will be going out once again, as another snow storm moved in. With this all in mind, I am going to make today’s post short and discuss the fall statistics for TheEnergyState.com.

As shown below, the daily pageviews and visitors has been staying relativley consistent over the past three months, which is great considering I have not posted in so long. I anticipate once I start publishing articles on a regular basis again, that these numbers will only go up. So thanks to all of our daily readers who have been waiting very patiently for this site to become active once again.

P.S. New articles will coming out this Monday, so stay tuned.

Thanks -Jay

Gasoline Prices and Obama Elected as President

It’s been a long time since this site has been last updated and once again I apologise to all. Over the course of this past fall, many news events have developed. These include, a signifcant drop in gasoline prices and Barack Obama getting elected as the next president of the United States.

Just a few months ago, we were all paying over $4 dollars a gallon for gasoline. It almost appeared that the prices we payed at the pump would never go back down. Even just the thought of gasoline going back down to $3 a gallon seemed great. However as the fall pushed onward, prices began to slowly drop. Oil is now trading at a fraction of what it once was this summer. The decreased demand within the United States and Worldwide is an indicator of the recession that we are currently in.

Along with this, this past November 4th the citizens of the United States elected Barack Obama as their next president. As part of Barack Obama’s plan to restore the economy, he is planning a massive infrastructure overall.

As a Civil Engineering student, my professors have stressed time and time again about the overall grade of the existing infrastructure within this country. Many of our roads, waste water treatmant plants, bridges etc. all need repairs or major overalls. So not only will President Obama’s plan repair and improve our existing facilities but it will also help in fixing the economy.

I also imagine that along with this, there will be a major jumpstart in the development and implementation of alternative energy sources. This was part of his campaign platform and I personally see this as a way to create new jobs and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. We will have to wait and see.

Well It’s Been A While…

I apologize to all of our daily readers for not updating this site in nearly 3 months now. This past semester at college was a very busy one for me, with nearly all of my previously available free time gone. The decision to hold off on this site and concentrate on my studies came about around the third week of September. I was upset when I had to email our fellow writer Neena about the news, but was also upset that I would not be publishing daily information for the member base here.

The semester has now wrapped up, and a much needed break from classes is here now. This means that new articles will be coming out as fast as they can be written. So please stay tuned and check back in with us. Thank you,
-Jay
